Cre8ive Construct was started by Woody (David) Widdop. Born and schooled in Zimbabwe. Woody has always be inspired by buildings. His love for construction started when he was 6 years old building dams walls in his sand pit with left over cement and river sand from his father's house renovations. Developing efficient, green buildings and civil structures is his purpose. Excelling at technical drawing at Christian Brothers College, he first did a gap year at Sullivan's engineering in their drawing office in Bulawayo. Moving on to Bulawayo Polytechnic he was awarded the most outstanding first year student and later completed his Civil Diploma. After working on various commercial, housing and civil contracts, he later worked in Zambia and Mozambique building various lodges. He later moved to Botswana working in Mochudi and later in Gaborone for Wharic Construction. Woody then moved to Johannesburg where he gained experience at Grid Line Construction building various commercial, residential and civil projects including various design and supply projects. Whilst running a construction company, he managed to complete a Master Degree with Wits in Project and Construction Management. He also registed with SACPCMP as a Pr CM and a professional Engineer with SAICE. Woody is also busy studying Arbitration and is an associate member with the Association of Arbitrators. Woody's new focus is Construction and Project Management, Design and Supply Projects, Project Budgeting and Cash-flows, Project feasibility, Project scheduling and Quality and Safety Management. Combining strategic planning, management excellence and creative solutions his projects and client relationships alway result in a positive outcome. He is driven to add value without compromise.
